Web traffic and analytics

Administrators who wish to be able to track and view reports related to the web traffic on their web site can do so by using a free service provided by Google called Google Analytics.  To get started, visit http://analytics.google.com.  Create a new account if you do not have one already.  Once you have an account, create a new Google Analytics "property".  Then, find the "Tracking Id" for your property, and enter it on the Basic Settings page at Site --> Basic Settings.

Once you enter your Tracking Id, web traffic data will start collecting immediately.  You will be able to view graphs and statistics such as # page views, # unique visitors, most frequently visited pages, etc. by visiting Google Analytics.  Keep in mind, however, that many of the reports there may not show any data until at least a day's worth of data has been collected.
